"Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) has released a glowing report of Leicestershire Police following a comprehensive inspection last year, putting us amongst the top police forces in the country.
We’ve been rated as outstanding in three areas - Recording Crime, Prevention and Deterrence and Protecting Vulnerable People.
A number of areas of the force have been highlighted as innovative practice, including our work to safeguard vulnerable children after witnessing adverse experiences, and our public-focused films such as ‘Are You Listening?’ and ‘Kayleigh’s Love Story’ which have helped adults to spot the signs of vulnerability and give them the confidence to report their concerns.
None of the 9 areas HMIC inspected were in the bottom two categories of Requires Improvement or Inadequate.
There are of course areas that the report has highlighted as to where we can improve. Plans are already in place to look at these areas and the force strives to continuously improve our service."
