Bosworth Links has received funding for archaeology in Cadeby thanks to National Lottery Players. They will be excavating archaeological test pits in the village on the 9th and 10th September in partnership with The University of Leicester Archaeological Services. This is following successful excavations in Market Bosworth, Carlton and Coton / Far Coton.
They now need gardens in the village and volunteers who would like to take part. To find out more please residents can attend a community meeting at the Church Hall on the 7th June at 7:30pm. During the meeting archaeologist Mathew Morris will explain why they are digging in Cadeby and what opportunities there are to get involved. Getting involved is suitable for anyone regardless of age, experience or ability so please do go along.
