Cadeby Foodbank collection
Added on 01 November 2017
This year’s Cadeby harvest festival contributions were donated to Hinckley Area Foodbank, which is part of a network of 428 foodbanks whose aim is to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities. The foodbank offers three-day emergency food supplies and support to people in crisis.
A permanent Foodbank collection box for food and non-food essential items has now been set up in Cadeby Church.
If you would like to support the scheme, the box can be found in the pew to the right of the main church door and has a list on it of most urgently needed items. This list may change depending on the donations received centrally.
A list of required items is also available online at www.hinckleyarea.foodbank.org.uk or via this link https://hinckleyarea.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food
Donated items will be collected from the church regularly.
Hinckley Area Foodbank will be packing special Christmas food hampers on 5th December for delivery on 6th, 7th and 8th December and has asked for Christmas contributions to be with them ideally by 21st November and no later than 28th November.
