The Cadeby Jubilee Stone is now complete.

Details have been sent to the "Windsor Platinum Jubilee Committee" and an extract from that email is below:

"The stone was sourced from a local quarry which is in one of the of the oldest granite producing areas in the UK.

It weighs 3,5 tons and its transport and site fixing/engraving were funded by F P McCann - a local Precast Concrete Manufacturer.

It stands 1.8 metres high of which a third is below ground level.

It is flanked either side by Rowan and Malus saplings.

The slate inlay was designed and created by a local stonemason.

This "tribute" to the Platinum Jubilee sits at the entrance to the village off the A447 that forms part of the link between the towns of Hinckley with Ashby-de-la- Zouch and can be seen by all using this road".
